Every opening measured, the clearances checked against your maker.
One template for garage door installers: measure each opening on your phone, with the headroom, the backroom and the side room. MesuPro works out what your maker asks for the track, the springs and the opener, and shows the margin you have left.

What you record on site
- Each opening: its finished width and height, jamb to jamb and floor to header
- The headroom, from the header up to the ceiling or the lowest obstruction
- The backroom, from the opening to the back wall, and the side room on each side
- The track, the springs (torsion or extension) and the opener planned
- The garage, the existing door, the header and jambs, the opener's outlet and the photo-eyes
- For a spring to replace: the length of 10 or 20 coils, the inside diameter, the unwound length, the wind and the color mark
What MesuPro calculates for you
- The area of each door and the total for the garage
- The backroom asked: the door height plus your maker's allowance, with or without an opener
- The margin at the ceiling, in the backroom and on the narrower side, positive or negative
- The weatherstrip length for the header and both jambs
- The wire size from the coils measured, and a distorted spring's length from its coils
Nothing comes filled in: makers disagree on clearances, so you type your own maker's. The hints quote Garaga, Clopay, Amarr and Wayne Dalton, and DASMA for the photo-eyes. The sheet shows each margin, never a verdict.

FAQ
Is the door ordered at the opening size?
Yes, for the makers we read (Garaga, Clopay, Amarr): a 9 ft by 7 ft door needs a 9 ft by 7 ft opening. The sheet records the finished opening, jamb to jamb and floor to header.
Why do I type the clearances myself?
Because makers do not ask the same: Garaga asks a backroom of the door height plus 24 in (40 in with an opener), Clopay and Amarr plus 18 in. Type your maker's figures: each column's help quotes them.
What if there is not enough room?
The margin for that clearance turns negative: you see it on site, before the order, and can pick a low headroom track or a wall mounted opener, as your maker allows.
Several doors?
One row per opening: the door area and the weatherstrip add up for the whole garage.
What about a spring to replace?
Use the Springs section. DASMA asks four measurements: the wire size (measure 10 or 20 coils: in our Green Bay example 20 coils are 5 in, a .250 in wire, purple in TDS 171), the inside diameter (the cones carry a number: 200 for 2 in), the unwound length and the wind, right or left hand. The sheet does not size the spring: DASMA leaves the replacement to a trained technician.
