About this template
Walk a parking lot before striping: stalls by type, angle and status, lines by kind and color with the paint they take, stencils and symbols, curbs and wheel stops, and the accessible stall count your local rule asks for, typed by you.
Guide and sources
Walk the lot with the plan if there is one. Do not assume the old layout is correct: check it against the plan and your local rules. Give each zone its own subsection ("Add a zone").
Under Stalls, count the stalls by type, angle and status (existing, new, to remove) with their width and length. Stall sizes, colors and the number of accessible stalls are set by your city or state: the help quotes examples, never one rule, and you type the accessible count your rule asks for. This sheet records what is on the lot and what is planned; it is not a review of the lot against the rules.
Under Lines, one row per kind of line and color: the number of lines and the length of one give the length; the width, coats, wet film from the paint's data sheet and your loss give the paint (one gallon at 15 mils wet covers about 320 ft of 4 in line). Count the stencils by symbol with their painted area, and measure the curbs, islands and wheel stops to paint. The paint is totalled per color in each tab.
Nothing is pre-filled except one coat: film thickness, cure and temperature limits come from the paint's data sheet, which always wins. On a lot that is also sealed, add the Sealcoating survey to the same project.
