About this template

Wall by wall: the area, the drops across the wall, the drop length rounded up to a whole pattern repeat, the drops per roll and the rolls per wallpaper, rounded up once, from the label's roll size and repeat.

Guide and sources

One row per wall: its width and height, the wallpaper on it, and from the label the roll's width and length and the pattern repeat (type 0 for a free match). Graham & Brown measures each wall without taking out the doors and windows; Farrow & Ball notes the areas without paper, such as doorways: type the width you choose.

The sheet counts the drops across the wall (its width over the roll's, rounded up), the drop length (the height rounded up to a whole repeat so every drop starts at the same point of the pattern, plus your trim) and the whole drops one roll gives (Farrow & Ball, for a 2.4 m room: about three for small repeats, four for stripes, two for large ones). The rolls are the drops over the drops per roll, added per wallpaper and rounded up once.

Before ordering, the makers add a margin: one more roll (Farrow & Ball, since batches can differ slightly) or 10% (Graham & Brown); note the batch on the labels. The client's report shows the walls, the wallpaper, the areas, the drops and the rolls; the roll sizes, the repeat, the trim and the drops per roll stay in your team's report.
