About this template
Walk the house before a gutter cleaning or a seasonal contract: each run with its height, access, guard and debris, each downspout and where it drains, the water test; then the hours of a visit and of the year from your own rates and the visits you plan.
Guide and sources
Walk around the house once: one row per run of gutter with its length, how high the eave is, how you reach it, the guard if there is one and what fills it, then one row per downspout. After cleaning, the SHQ's water test: block the bottom of the downspout, fill the gutter, look for leaks along the run and watch the elbow drain.
Your own rates make the hours: minutes per 100 ft of gutter and minutes per downspout, typed once at the top of the section with the visits you plan a year; each row starts from them and can change them (a back run under the pines that needs a third visit). The sheet gives the hours of one visit and of the year. The SHQ asks at least two cleanings a year, spring and fall, more under trees; LeafFilter asks one or two even with guards, at least two with branches within 10 ft of the roof.
The eave height decides the safety plan: CNESST asks fall protection past 3 m on a ladder used as a workstation, OSHA from 6 ft in US residential construction; the ladder rises at least 3 ft (900 mm) above the landing, its foot a quarter of its length out, and never leans on the gutter. The client's report shows the runs, the downspouts and what was found; your rates and hours stay in your team's report.
