About this template

Measure each room for stripping, recoating, burnishing or carpet extraction: net area by service, finish and stripper to buy, and a carpet pre-inspection with photos.

Guide and sources

Measure each room and choose the service. Before a strip, check that the floor takes a finish: many luxury vinyl floors have a factory top layer and their maker says no wax or polish, while others allow an optional polish. Read the floor maker's care guide and note what it says.

Take the coats and the coverage from the finish label, and the dilution and the solution coverage from the stripper label: the sheet totals the finish to buy per product, rounded up once per section, and the stripper concentrate. Coverage, dilution, rates and hours stay out of a report for the client.

For carpet and upholstery, note the fiber, how dirty it is and any damage that is already there, with photos, so the client sees it before you start.
