About this template

Walk a fence job: runs by style and length, posts, sections, rails and pickets from your spacing, gates, concrete bags for the posts, and the old fence to remove.

Guide and sources

Walk the property with the client. Record each fence run on its own row: its style, height, length and terrain. Posts, sections, rails and pickets are counted from the spacing and sizes you use.

For concrete, enter the hole diameter, the post width and the depth filled with concrete, then the yield printed on the bag. Gate posts are counted in the gates table: add them to the run posts when ordering.

Before digging, request the utility locate (811 in the US). For a pool enclosure, the pool barrier rules (ISPSC 2024, 305, as adopted where you work) are cited in the help; also check your city's fence bylaw.
