About this template

Walk a building floor by floor: cleanable area by space and floor type, fixtures, visits per week and periodic work, for hours per week and per year.

Guide and sources

Walk the building floor by floor. In Spaces, add each room or area with its type, its floor and its size, or the area from the plan. Enter how many times a week it is cleaned and your crew's production rate for that kind of space: your own timed figure, or one built from the ISSA Cleaning Times for the tasks you will do.

Count the toilets, urinals, sinks and dispensers in Fixtures and items, with your minutes per item. Add carpet extraction, floor finish and the other periodic jobs with how many times a year.

The sheet gives you the cleanable area by floor type, the hours per week by space type and the hours per year of periodic work. Multiply by your own rate to price the contract. Rates, times and hours stay out of a report for the client.

In Quebec, note which cleaning decree applies and the class of each task (A or B): the decree sets a minimum wage per class.
